Why This Site Exists
Alabama makes many jail, court, and public records available through official custodians, but released-inmate research is rarely kept in one place. In Randolph County, the sheriff's public roster is a current-custody tool, not a complete release archive. ADOC's public inmate search is also limited to people currently incarcerated in state custody. This site explains those differences and points to the county sheriff, detention center, court, ADOC, Alabama VNS, VINELink, and Alabama Bureau of Pardons and Paroles sources that may apply after release.
What You Can Find
The pages are organized around release lookup tasks that often require more than one office or database.
- Release lookup help through the home page, projected release date, VINELink check, and parole and probation pages.
- Facility pages for the Randolph County Detention Center and municipal police holding situations in Randolph County.
- Plain-language routing for the sheriff's current roster, court records, ADOC public records, VNS notifications, and ABPP supervision contacts.
- Records-request context for booking sheets, jail register entries, release records, and booking photos when public lookup does not answer the question.
What We Cannot Do
This is not a government office. Randolph County Released Inmates is not affiliated with the Randolph County Sheriff's Office, the Randolph County Detention Center, ADOC, ABPP, VINELink, the courts, or any federal or local agency.
- We cannot release, hold, transfer, or locate a person in official custody.
- We cannot post bond, schedule visits, send funds, or retrieve property.
- We cannot provide legal advice or interpret a court order for a specific case.
- We cannot guarantee that an address, phone number, fee, roster entry, or release status remains current.
Only the originating sheriff's office, court, corrections agency, or supervising office can confirm official custody, release, charges, or supervision status.
Search Partners
Some pages include search boxes or links supplied by outside search providers. Those providers control their own prices, data sources, terms, and results. If a visitor follows a partner tool and later signs up for a paid service, this site may receive a referral fee. That support helps keep the reference pages available, but it does not give us control over partner records, billing, or search results.
